03-11-2019: Allen Teator Road (2)

Technical issues have prevented posting the past few weeks, creating an ever-increasing backlog which I desperately hope to clear. Enjoy these images from a warm day in mid-March.

A shot down Murray Road, a short spur that connects Allen Teator to NY-145.
View south towards Edwards Hill, from farmland low on Allen Teator.
As it sits on the northward side of the mountains, the snow on Allen Teator often survives winter heat waves such as this.
Looking north into Preston Hollow, with Cook Mountain on the left and Edwards Hill on the right.
Focused more on Cook Mountain from slightly higher up the road. Note the steep slope of the field in the foreground.
Looking up the road. This portion of the road is a straight shot up the mountain.
A bit farther up the road. Rainfall and snowmelt devastates dirt roads like these for much of the year.
Looking down the road, towards the northeast. This was just down the hill from where I had stopped in my previous walk.
A view towards Preston Hollow in the northwest, flanked by pine trees.
Looking more northwards over someone's front lawn, Edwards Hill is quite prominent.
Cook Mountain looms over NY-145 as I walked back to the parking area.
